Pre-course Study

Mindful Yoga Academy follow the UK and USA Yoga Alliance 200hr training standards and the days are intensive, so you are not expected to stay up late or get up early in the morning to study. However to help you prepare, some pre-course study is required and these assignments contribute towards your required training hours and you need to bring them with you to hand in. To graduate, along with the pre-course study, you will also need to attend all sessions, pass the daily fun multi-choice test and ongoing assessments.

The book Yoga for Your Type by Dr David Frawley can be found at all good book shops including Amazon. For Europe, the cheapest place I have found is the Book Depository with a price of just under 20 euros including delivery. We also recommend that you read the book The Secret Power of Yoga by Nischala Joy Devi.

FREE Sound Therapy Power Siesta

FREE Brainwave Entrainment Sound Therapy Power Siesta (This product should not be used by Epileptics, Pregnant Women, those wearing a Pace Maker or those prone to Seizures)

15 Minutes. Headphones are required.

A 15 minute deep Alpha wave session to use as a power siesta, any time you need a quick relaxation or stress relief break. There are 1440 minutes in each day, by spending just 15 relaxing deeply with this CD, you will improve your health, well-being and vitality.

It is particularly important that you adjust all settings (such as volume) until you are 100% comfortable with the session before starting. 

Before starting the session, find a quiet place, free of distraction. Make sure you are comfortable, in a chair or lying down. After starting the session, close your eyes and just relax back, forget about everything you have done today and the things you still need to do and allow the CD to work its magic. Remember that it can take a couple of times for your mind to get used to this technology.

It is particularly important that you adjust all settings (such as volume) until you are 100% comfortable with the session before starting. You may want to drink a glass of water before each session, Entrainment increases blood flow and metabolism, which can make you thirsty mid-session.

Please do not drive or operate any machinery whilst listening to this CD.
